Chapter Information

Lake Trash chapters exist to enrich the community of water enthusiasts around your lake. Our goal is to bring like minded folks together in a way that improves everyone’s boating experience, benefits the community by promoting your community’s business both locally and nationally.

1. Enlisting a minimum of 20 Chapter VIP members
2. Designating, at minimum, a chapter president and a treasurer/secretary
3. Requesting in writing to be added as a chapter and gaining said approval

• Lake Trash supports worthy causes by asking each chapter to identify one or more local charitable organizations to align itself with. We ask that chapters form fundraisers and promote their cause on its’ webpage.
• Each local chapter will operate as a not-for-profit and financially independent entity according to the by-laws.

Chapter Checklist:

• Develop a unique chapter motto and mission statement for your lake
• Submit a current Lake logo or design and create your own Chapter logo
• Create a team to help organize and support the chapter
• Designate a Social Chairperson
• Enlist a local business or company to act as chapter sponsor and/or headquarters
• Recruit your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, business associates and others to become a Chapter Member of your lake
• Hold regular meetings at chapter sponsor or headquarters
• Create chapter meeting agendas\
• Generate chapter revenue through new Chapter member subscriptions, web advertising and “special event” sponsorships
• Focus chapter efforts on finding new ways to have fun as a group
• Keep everyone informed via the chapter webpage and designated e-mails
• Budget chapter activities based on revenue
• Always remember to WORK HARD, PLAY EXTREME!!
